Technical Key Points

Ø Take effective measures to reduce the casting temperature to eliminate crack defects, at the same time reducing the temperature drop of molten steel to ensure the filling capacity of steel. Main technical measures: one is to directly reduce the casting temperature, the original pouring temperature of 1600 ℃ -1610 ℃, and now strictly control the temperature at 1570℃ -1580 ℃. Second, to reduce the temperature drop of molten steel. After the mold are assembled, blow heat wind 150 ℃ -200 ℃ to the cavities for 60 min-90min, and stop blowing 5min before pouring.

Ø Blowing argon to the steel to reduce inclusions. Take 2t ladle as example, when tapping the molten steel, gas pressure should be strictly controlled below 0.1Mpa to prevent the new Oxygen absorption effect, which may be caused by Violent turbulence if the blowing gas is with high pressure. Argon blowing process can effectively reduce oxygen content of the steel by 10% -20%, the effect is very obvious. after tapping of the high temperature molten steel, the steel must be sedated for 5 minutes, thus the gas solubility in steel will reduce and some gas will escape from the steel, carrying the inclusion inside rise to the surface of the steel, thus the steel are cleaned.

Ø  Apply bottom injection open gating system, set the section area ratio of the pouring system as:

∑A vertical:∑A horizontal:∑A inner =1.0:(0.8-0.9):(1.1-1.2)
